Who we are.
Granja Faria has been expanding since its formation.
Founded in 2006, in Nova Mutum/MT, today it is considered one of the largest and most renowned egg producing companies in Brazil.
To assist BRF’s need for chicks, a production and hacthing egg integration system was created. In 2008, the partnership with BRF continues with the production of hacting eggs in the city of Videira/SC and a year later, in 2009, in the city of Fazenda Vila Nova/RS.
In 2012, starts a partnership with the company Tyson, currently JBS, in the production of broiler chicken in the city of Campo Mourão-PR, where it began a significant expansion in its business.
In 2013, through a successful transaction in the city of Lauro Muller/SC, they purchased Avícola Catarinense, which had been operating in the poultry market for more than 24 years with its own production of hacting eggs and chicks.
In 2013, the Group acquired a property in Erval Velho/SC where it maintains a considerable production of hacthing eggs aimed to the export market. Nowdays, Granja Faria’s chicks production is in its own hatcheries to assist the market in the states of Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and São Paulo.
In 2018, Granja Faria Group completed a strategic transactions when it began operations in the commercial egg segment. This occurred through the acquisition of Josidith in Darcinópolis, Tocantins, Marutani in Arapongas, Paraná, and Stragliotto in Farroupilha, Rio Grande do Sul.
Continuing its foray into the commercial egg segment, the company began producing eggs from free-range chickens. In 2018, Ares do Campo brand was founded with production operations based in Palhoça, Santa Catarina.
Continuing with its growth strategy, in 2019, Granja Faria Group acquired Aviário Santo Antonio and Iana Alimentos, both established in the state of Minas Gerais.
Granja Faria Group continued its expansion trajectory by completing the acquisition of Granja Ovos Prata located in the city of Nova Prata, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Subsequent to the transaction, a change was made to the name of this unit, which became to be identified as Avimor.
In the year of 2021, Granja Faria Group had significant development. It began with the acquisition of Granja Alexaves located in Alexania, Goiás. Furthermore, there was the establishment of the Eggy brand, a fast food with an emphasis on eggs as the main ingredient. It opens its first unit in the Itaim Bibi neighborhood, in São Paulo. At the same time, Fertifar was founded, it is dedicated to the production of bioactivated organomineral fertilizers.
In 2023, Granja Faria Group completed the acquisition of two relevant farms. The first was BL Ovos located in Santa Maria de Jetibá, in the state of Espírito Santo. And the second acquisition was Katayama Alimentos located in Guararapes, São Paulo.
In 2024, Granja Faria group significantly expanded its presence in Brazil, increasing the number of units and acquiring Granja Vitagema located in Parnamirim, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. It represents the group’s first unit in the northeast region of the country.

Environmental factors
Our commitment to the environment resulted in millions of reais invested in actions that mitigate environmental impacts and offering a better quality of life for the birds on our farms.
We have international animal welfare certification, through our Free Range breeding system.
There are more than 1 million birds raised freely, reproducing their natural lifestyle, free from any type of stress.
We are a company that thinks about the future and respects conservation areas. Our composting process transforms chicken manure into fertilizer for corn production, which returns in the form of feed for our birds, creating a highly sustainable cycle. Furthermore, this organic fertilizer was used to plant more than 500 hectares of eucalyptus trees.
Our effluent treatment system is monitored by environmental engineers and this chemical process guarantees the return of previously treated water to the municipal sewerage system in all our units. Our energy efficiency actions include the implementation of projects using solar energy, search for vehicles with lower % pollutant emissions, acquisition of electric vehicles for delivery of e-commerce products, installation of LED lights on farms and reduction of electricity consumption.
Green packaging. Currently, all of our packaging is produced from recycled and biodegradable materials. Pet Packaging: 100% recycled high-density polyethylene from materials such as: Pet bottles; cake trays, plastic packaging and etc. Holes eggs cartons: By recycling materials, such as newspapers, cardboard and waste paper, straight molded poupa packaging is produced.
Social factors
We are committed to promoting a diverse work environment, respecting the individuality of each employee, regardless of gender, regilion and sexual orientation.
Our social actions position us as a company that lives in its time and acts against the adversities of its time. The year 2020 was marked by the Corona Virus pandemic and Granja Faria Group supported needy communities with more than 1 million reais in donations. Eggs, masks, hand sanitizer, COVID tests, food, among others were donated.
Aiming for efficient growth, the company has been investing heavily in the development of its employees with training courses, such as an in-company MBA, Trainee program, English course and 360º assessment methodology. Our actions to develop and train women have been bringing valuable results, such as an increase in the number of women occupying leadership positions.
Governance factors
Our governance factors are measured according to the relationship between partners, administrative council, management, among others. The policies in n the company are criteria for an important corporate analysis.
Here at Granja Faria we have an independent administrative board, made up of partner executives with a stake in the business and the remuneration policies are results-oriented. We undergo external audits every 4 years and all our results are published in the official journal.
All of these actions promote the improvement of Corporate Governance practices, bringing much more transparency to our partners, customers and employees.
